If a cooking/baking contest calls for original recipes, does that mean one you created from scratch, or can it be an established recipe that you reworked?

It can be something you reworked as long as you added some innovative change that actually makes a difference to the process or outcome.

I think there need to be at least 3 changes from the original recipe for it to be considered new.
