Hi I'm going to be in Rome for two nights and one day. Would love recommendations for one day lunch (dairy) and the two dinners (meat) thanks

Baghetto Milky was our favorite dairy place; there's also Yotvata. We didn't eat meat because we were told that the meat there often isn't glatt and they have different standards than in the US.

There has been several posts recently about Rome, I recommend you
just do a search using Rome as the keyword.

BaGhetto and Yotvata are good milky choices. For meaty, I really
enjoyed La Taverna.

Very often, you just have to call the restaurant and ask if they can
prepare meals with glatt meat.

The meat is glatt only if said so, basically, but it's 100% kosher in kosher restaurants. Don't go in a restaurant without a teuda even Jewish iykwim...

So dairy is covered thanks... Is there a second option for the dinner meals if I want meat? Or is Taverna the only and the best ?

We were also only comfortable with the dairy kashrus- we were told Yotvata is the most reliable of the places and we had a few meals there. Totally delicious, wonderful food.

There's a gelato place in the ghetto- forget the name. We only ate the pareve stuff, because it's not cholov Yisroel- it was creamy and sooo good.

For the kosher gelato place, check Roman beth din website, romaebraica.it
They should also list meaty restaurants. BaGhetto has a meaty resto by the same name, though I didn't eat there.

BTW, my Italian friend told me once that the word 'ghetto' is pronounced with soft g (as in jetto)
and not hard g.

We liked Bella carne for meat, also in the ghetto.

We were in Rome two weeks ago and the gelato (ice cream shop ) is Cholov Yisroel. It did not have the sign up, but we checked and double checked, and was told by everyone it is Cholov Yisroel. On the same street in the ghetto is a great sushi place. Besides Baghetto most places open from 12-3.30 then again at around 6. Enjoy Rome, it's a great place!
