Spot it-- how do they do it?

How do they make the cards??? There's only one match on each card, never two, but the pictures are repeated. Does anyone know the mystery?

PS, yes my 5 year old can beat me at spot it. And matching games. But I'll pretend I lose because I'm being nice.

I beat them at spot it, so I count to ten before I look. I played with my 17 year old on shabbos and it was so much more enjoyable because I actually got to play Wink . Matching games I lose because I don't pay attention and when they get it right, they pick again, but when I do, I don't.
