Does he have a microwave or a refrigerator available?

You can always do sandwiches and salads. I bought DH a microwave for work and I pack him hot lunches.

Some ideas I do.
salad with a protein in it. Like hard boiled eggs. Or fish or Turkey or chicken with a dressing on the side. I get nice restaurant containers to make it look really appetizing
I also make bagel sandwiches...lox, cream cheese tomato pickle, tuna tomato , etc
sometimes I give bagel with a dip, chummus, matbucha, etc
I also cut up fruit in containers and make smoothies (in cups with covers)
Hope this gives u some ideas.

leftovers from supper. they don't always have to be hot. if you want him to have a hot lunch, buy him thermos containers.

what does israel have to do with wanting chicken for lunch? do you have chicken every night? chicken is just fine for lunch, as are meatballs, roast, eggs, macaroni and cheese, blintzes, cheese cubes with veggies, leftover cholent, whatever. leftovers are easy to pack for lunch, and if your suppers are nutritionally balanced, his lunches will be as well. packing leftovers also cuts down on waste.
