Don't miss out! Some of the items include: wireless mouse, George Foreman grill, Fisher Price Little People, Playmobil, board games, books, electric massage cushion, toiletries, gently used educational preschool therapy toys.

A yard sale is on used items, not new. Perhaps it's in a different category?

Even used, yard sales are usually something fun and exciting and getting things new-to-you is also nice. But I doubt it's halachically a problem, I can definitely see doing it just because it's a convenient time for you and if the buyer wants they can just save their purchases to use after tisha b'av.

OP, why Thursday? Yard sales usually get the most traffic on weekends. Not tisha b'av obviously but why not try the Sunday before or after? (Negius here. I am very interested in games and preschool therapy toys and books but almost definitely not available to do Brooklyn on a weekday. Any chance of an advance viewing?!)

It's actually a moving sale. I am moving the day after Tisha B'av so it needs to be before then. Tomorrow is too soon, so it will need to be on Thursday. Seeker, you can call me to schedule a viewing. Tomorrow should work for me, if you'd like.

I just gave you another one in sympathy for not knowing why you've been hugged.

Didn't get to see everything because OP is still getting it together, but she kindly let me into her garage today and I walked off feeling like Santa Claus with a sack of goodies. Don't worry, due to time and space constraints I left plenty for y'all too and like I said a bunch of the things listed above weren't out there yet. Go on over, everyone! If you don't shlep it, OP will have to! Good luck on Thursday, OP! It was nice meeting you, whoever you are! If any more screws or stuff turn up let me know and I'll send someone over!

I did get a metzia. I came in wondering if I should bother bargaining, because on one hand bargaining is the way of the yard sale but on the other hand it didn't start yet and I don't want to rip her off before anyone else had a chance to just buy it. But in the end I didn't think of it because she priced very fairly, I felt.

And she knows her toys, too. Knew what pieces went with each and gave ideas how to use and which would be most suitable for my educational needs. Yard sales are so much fun Smile

Chayamiriam, the Little People are random assorted pieces from different sets. Farm, train, I don't think any are complete sets. For example, the train set doesn't include tracks. Are you still interested?
