Tasting shabbos food when cooking

Is this allowed today? Not real meat or chicken but soup or beans from cholent? Just to know how to adjust my spices?

Not just allowed... If it's something you do every week it's considered kavod shabbos and is actually a mitzva...

SHABBOS – 2ND OF AV
One may bathe on Friday (even before midday) in honour of Shabbos, don
freshly laundered clothing, and use freshly laundered tablecloths.
If necessary, one may taste the Fleishig food when preparing it for Shabbos,
provided that it is expelled without swallowing.
Apart from that, one may not partake of any Fleishig Shabbos foods on Erev
Shabbos, even if one is normally accustomed to doing so.


Have a piece of kugel or fish for the mitzvah.
