I'm looking to transition into a new career. I've been teaching for a few years and I'm just totally done. I want to stay in education, but not teaching. I'm looking into the following areas: college guidance, academic advising, college admissions, educational programming. I would also be interested in curriculum design, though it seems that requires a lot more teaching experience than I have.
How can I effectively make this transition? Further education is not an option for me, I need to look where my teaching experience will count for something. Does anyone know of any jobs or where I can look? Any other advice in this area?

Educational Publishing is filled with (sometimes VERY quickly) burnt-out teachers. If you have a subject specialty (Reading/Science/Math seem most needed typically), I'd look on Monster.com or something for a "Science Editor" (for example) job in your area.
