bh we moved in to a new house a few weeks ago and finally have a proper guest room with its own bathroom. I would like to put a basket in teh bathroom with essentials that people often need and might have forgotten. I've come up with following so far please give me more ideas:
toothbrush
toothpaste
soap/shampoo
lens solution
lens case
nail clipper
pads
cotton balls/qtips

that is such a nice idea!
I ALWAYS forget mouthwash.
Tampons/Pads is really thoughtful also.

oh, and speaking of guest bedrooms, nice things to have for guests, I always bring a clock with me bc It drives me crazy when rooms don't have clocks. and we also started bringing a shabbos lamp.

My MIL has bedika cloths in her guest bathroom, so you wouldn't be the first!

A full-length mirror is always nice, and a garbage can in the bathroom and bedroom are helpful too (I've been told that many guest bathrooms/bedrooms don't have garbage cans). A box of tissues and hand soap are also good things to have.

Nope not weird at all. Although, I would put them in a cabinet and not out where they would be in plain sight if children were there. Other items (didn't read all respnses so I don't know if these were already suggested):
mouthwash
disposable razors/shaving cream
dental floss
pads/tampons
spray deodorant
toothbrush/toothpaste
tissues
waterbottles
sheital head
rain poncho/hood for sheital
Advil/tylenol

We recently stayed somewhere and it started pouring unexpectedly. I was so grateful when she offered us ponchos and rain bonnets. It was so helpful.
Also, extra pairs of stockings.

I also have a guest room. I find the initial setup easy. But after words keeping it stocked many times falls to the wayside.

I also find a warm baby blanket is appreciated to have down there for people traveling with kids.

Safety pins! Sounds random, but believe me, very needed, for shells, and other uses. Also some general topical medicine like Neosporin or something. And a nicely scented spray for the bathroom. I also love when I go somewhere and they have water bottles and some cups as well. Maybe clear nail polish for last minute runs in tights/ hose.

Once in sem our host put hand towels and water bottles in the room. It was so thoughtful of her. Plus I ALWAYS need water
Provide towels for showering
Also in sem I liked hosts who asked us to strip the linen after our stay bc it means they change the linn!
I second the shaitel head. And tichel would be nice.

Oh also sometimes I forget to bring extra plastic bags to put dirty laundry in (I don't want to stuff it in the suitcase with everything else) so maybe have some extra plastic bags ( regular shopping ones)
