hi my brother is getting married and I need to find a gown. I wear about a size 16. are there any gown gemachs who might have something? or any suggestions where I could buy something not too expensive?

We have a wedding in the family and one of my siblings bought a gown in that size range at Augenbrauns in Monsey. I know Augenbraun's in Lakewood has a range of sizes for gowns, not sure the price range.

Yes go to Macy's in either ocean county mall or freehold mall they have bigger sizes. Around a half a year ago I found a beautiful gown in a bigger size there in the clearance rack. It was way nicer than others at wedding who spent. a fortune at rentals. U will probably need to weara shell under it. U can bring gown to shell station to match up color. If can't find u can always return to Macy's so no risk.

Try David's bridal and Nordstrom. David's bridal has a few plus sizes at each location but if you look online, you might see more. Nordstrom has a lot online in different price ranges, you could find from a little over $100- over $500. I've gotten gowns in both, ordered a few online and returned what I didn't use

Struck out everywhere. Went to freehold mall this week, tried macy's, nordstrom, and lord and taylor. Lord and taylor had the best selection but nothing was my size!

Any other suggestions?

Maybe try Lord and Taylor's website and see if they have anything you liked in your size.

I have done much better in the Lord and Taylor in the Monmouth Mall than in Freehold. There is also a Lord and Taylor outlet store very close to the mall that usually has a lot of dressy dresses and gowns.

Is there a Nordstrom Rack near you? They often have gowns.

Try the plus-sized department as well as the regular, since you're in-between.

I have a friend who bought gowns on Roamans. They have really nice things.
