If you should receive the following email, most likely passed along by a good friend,

URGENT PLEASE CIRCULATE

In the coming days, DO NOT open any message regardless of who sent it to you with an attachment called:
BLACK MUSLIM IN THE WHITE HOUSE. It is a virus that opens an Olympics torch that burns the whole hard disk of your computer.
Directions:
You should send this message to all of your contacts.
It is better to receive this e-mail 2 dozen times than to receive the virus and open it.
If you receive a message called BLACK MUSLIM IN THE WHITE HOUSE even if sent by a friend, do not open and shut down your machine immediately.

It is the worst virus ever announced by CNN. it has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.

This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee. There is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus destroys the Zero Sector of your hard disk, where vital information function is stored.

you can do one of several things:

--roll your eyes and delete it immediately, because you know Rebecca forwards everything and evaluates nothing;
--be another Rebecca and forward it to everyone in your contacts list, because Rebecca is your good buddy and hey, it says it was verified by snopes;
--go to snopes.com yourself, search the item and find that it is a hoax from start to finish. At this point you can do one of several more things:
a. send off a snarky email to Rebecca taking her to task for being not only a gullible idiot but cluttering up the bandwidth with tripe and trash;
b. send Rebecca a polite email, begging her (AGAIN! for the how-manieth time?) to check out snopes. com before forwarding anything to anyone, but especially to you, on pain of your putting her on your junk e-mail list forever;
c. delete the message and leave it at that; Rebecca ain't never gonna change.

Everyone has at least one Rebecca in her life; make sure that the Rebecca in your life isn't YOU!
