Ask your rav what to do.
We where told that we can turn it on on Shabbos. It was pekuach nefesh.
I had my toddler turn it on.
Or you can set it on a timer

We used a timer/shabbos clock and sometimes had to make adjustments to that. If it comes to it, then you need to do what you need to do (AYLOR about shinui and stuff) but whatever can be set up in advance is preferable. I always set the timer to have the nebulizer run for longer than it needs to in case we didn't get to it exactly on time. Just take off the medicine part when it's done and leave it. And I put it as far as possible from the sleeping areas because of the noise.
Refuah shleima!

I have 2 asthmatic kids so we always leave it on a timer; 1/2 hour on, 1 hour off, throughout the whole shabbos. I like to do it this way because I pretty much have it when I need it. If not, we have pulled up the peg piece of the timer because we couldn't wait.

We have set timers when we used it regularly. At times when we didn't regularly use it, but would suddenly need it, then the kids knew to turn it on with a shinui. If no kids had been around, I'd have done it myself b/c pikuach nefesh. Serious breathing trouble is a really scary thing....hope that soon you're not needing the nebulizer!!!
