my 6 year old daughter is non stop touching her private area, I keep telling her to stop...she uses an excuse that she has to make but that cannot be constantly. whenever I look at her she is doing it.
another thing she always does is takes her shirt and pulls it forward - she says she doesnt like them too high by her neck. she has this process - pull shirt forward and roll her shoulders back. repeat... it's like a tick?
anything I should do?

does she go often? watch and see if she does. if not then ask her if something hurts or bothers her. ask her what she feels that is making her put her hands there. cant say anyting about the pulling shirt.

Assuming she doesn't have a UTI, ignore it. Some kids just go through phases like this.

Try a different brand of underwear, or a larger size. The shirt thing makes me think she might be sensory, so she'd regularly notice if her underwear felt funny but might not know that's the issue.

take her to doc, if not a UTI, ask also that she be checked for strep. These can be symptoms.
