Things to do near North Miami beach

Please advise. Need something for younger kids up to adult ones.
An hour or so drive is ok .
We are staying in North Miami Beach.

The Miami aquarium is a close by it's a very nice place

Jungle island
I think there is a safari of some sort, but it may have closed
Science museum in ft. Lauderdale (not sure what the actual name is)

Beautiful botanical gardens, the lighthouse, tours of Miami Bay via boat, or rent a pontoon boat in the ft Lauderdale canals.

Also my kids liked coral castle, and if you are there when it's a little cooler out, it's really enjoyable. There's nothing to do there, it's just a walking tour of a casket made of coral. But it's really cool.
And I forgot vizcaya.
