I am sending my toddler to a babysitter this year for the first time. This is my oldest and only child, I have never done this before. I am new in town and don't have friends whom I can trust as references. What are good questions I can ask the babysitter as well as the references so I can gage whether he babysitter is responsible and loving and trustworthy? So scared of possibly doing the wrong thing for my darling child!!

Ask if you can drop by and meet her. No answers will compare to actually seeing first hand what goes on - if the kids are happy, the place is clean, etc.
