Are there also Lubavitchers who wear a sheitel before the chuppah? I thought only Lubavitchers did that on principle. Imamother proves me wrong.

No Lubavitchers wear a sheitel before the chuppah out of principle (unless it is a second marriage), although some do because it's practical or nicer than their hair anyway. There are some families who are more particular to wear a sheitel from after the yichud room, but this is not the majority, most move the veil to cover more of the hair than it was covering before (even just a drop more).

Modern day yekkes. Not during the 70s or 80s.

Minhag Europe - are you sure? I live in Europe and mostly I see before the chuppa. A lot of chareidi Rabbonim won't be mesader kiddushin afterwards
