zigi, the first amazon dress is really nice. Shame it's so summery.

So I had zero luck at the mall (Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Century, and Burlington. They ALL had close to zilch in little girls nicer-than-totally-casual, and what they did have was either too tiny or too huge. Only Century had any decent selection but the nice things were above my price range - 30ish.)
So I guess it's time to hit up the internet. Sigh. Will check out the ones posted here and see how I do.

Youngishbear I ordered the cute pink bolero jacket you mentioned from H&M. I mistakenly thought it was the whole outfit. I should have known better at that price. Anyways, I am still happy with the jacket. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm glad.
I'm sorry, I should have been clearer. I have never been so lucky to find complete outfits under $10, I am thrilled if each piece is in that range.
I have two sizes that won't work for me. If anyone is interested they can pm me before I return them.

Yeah I'm realizing the $10 was a bit of a fantasy. To be fair I have seen a couple of pieces at that price that might just need a shell, but between sizing and shipping I don't know if any would happen. Meanwhile B"H a friend came to the rescue and I have a few things that will likely work, just need to fill in with shells or sweaters or such. Seems like most things are either really warm or really summery, though. I guess that makes sense because if you don't shop the overpriced Jewish stores your dressy things are either from xmas or easter. Though even in winter I usually prefer things not too warm, since you're usually indoors with the heat going. But in any case we don't have any wardrobe crises now; I will have to hit Basic Colors or something over the next week or so and we should be set. Also need to have DD actually try on the things to make sure they fit as well in real life as they appeared when I held them next to her sleeping body
Now we need shoes. It never ends (not necessarily fancy yomtov shoes. Just something serviceable for school/fall/winter. She was still in her sandals in today's rainstorms.) I scrimp and save on the clothes and the food and the toys and the housewares and then spend $80 on the shoes because I have learned that it's not worth my time doing trial and error to find something narrow enough for her feet.

Thanks. I don't think it's worth even trying to order online because we'd need to try 20 things before anything fits. BTDT. MAYBE I'd try on Amazon with prime shipping, but 6PM doesn't offer free returns so it's hopeless to try buying shoes there. I don't understand that business model at all, how does anyone order shoes online without free returns, especially with Zappos and others competing?

American express will pay your return shipping on a website whose return policy is that you can return anything but pay for shipping?
