I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I believe I read somewhere that it's an offshoot of Yehudis.

It doesn't mean anything. It originated as a nickname for yehudis.

Yeah, as far as I know Yitta is from Yehudis, feminine form of Yehuda which has to do with giving thanks.
