Is there any part of Monsey where you can get a 4-bedrom home for under $400,000?
Needs to be within walking distance to a shul, which shul I'm not so picky. We can get along with anyone willing to get along with us.

I saw one yesterday advertised in spring valley for375k all fixed up. Call a broker and they will help you find what you are looking for.

I see lots of homes listed on trulia but I don't know where the frum areas are.
What is the average tax? $10,000?

taxes are higher then 10,000. its a lot higher then any other place I know

taxes are lower in lakewood. thought it keeps climbing. but monsey is definitely much higher. call a broker

There r some areas where u can find that. Taxes r high though. Call a mtg broker to see what u can afford ( pm me for a name of someone in monsey)
Try new city, pomona, chestnut ridge etc. Definitely can find.
