My ds had ices yesterday, and after, said that any time he has those particular ices( rarely has them), his teeth are very sensitive afterwards, and he can't eat for a few days. I had taken him to the dentist once, when this had happened. The dentist said to use a toothpaste called sensodyme. My ds said that doesn't help. He had a very small amount of clear chicken soup last night, and didn't like the soup, now he woke up, said his teeth are still very sensitive, and refuses to eat breakfast, or let me send him anything to eat for school today. He won't take a lunch, or snacks. Any suggestions? Thanx.

You need to use such a toothpaste for an extended amount of time for it to work. You can try looking for a mouthwash high in fluoride and rinsing with it or a toothpaste and rubbing it on his teeth temporarily. Fluoride desensitizes teeth. Feel good.
