LOL! I've had this happen to me *repeatedly*! I've also had people approach my kids to say, "Is it true your mom is really Fox?"
And don't ask about all the fox-themed tchotchkes that friends give me! The problem then steamrolls -- people come to my house and think I collect fox stuff, so they bring more.
Seriously, though, I've long made it a rule to never, ever say anything online that would be embarrassing or upsetting were it to become public. Though even I would admit that my weird stridency over NY regents exams is borderline.
