He doesn't exactly have a flawless business history - has declared bankruptcy several times. He has come back from those brinks, and they may be legal, but it isn't exactly the great economic strategy you might wish for.

Apart from being an unpleasant boor, but that has never stopped anyone in politics so far.

His casino businesses declared bankruptcy several times and many casino jobs were saved when the debt was structured and the businesses kept open.

Restructuring doesn't bother me because many programs in government need to be restructured. It is OK to admit you made mistakes and then revamp rather than close the business.

I could have predicted you would respond like this.

Frumdoc, thanks for bringing up a point I have as well, and providing links. No time to check them out now; my coffee break's almost over and then it's back on my head (B"H!!!!!).
But I do understand how it's a legitimate, if not totally appealing business tactic. I'm still not impressed though.
All that said, I would NOT vote for him in the primaries but if he has a good running mate, and names good people to his proposed cabinet I'd hold my nose and vote for him in Nov. (But Moshiach will be hear long before, be"H, right? Very Happy )

Kesiva v'chasima tova and kol tuv, y'all!
