I'm looking for a tried and tested recipe to use in a cake pop mold. One that not only looks good when decorated, but tastes good too!

Pretty please. Tongue Out

Fudgy Cake Pops (recipe from Nordic Ware)

3/4 cup (125 g) chocolate chips
1/2 cup (120 g) butter/margarine
3/4 cup (150 g) sugar
3 Tbsp (20 g) cocoa
2 eggs
3/4 cup (90 g) four
1/4 tsp salt

Heat oven to 325F. Grease pan; set aside. In medium saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate chips and butter together; stir until smooth. Remove from heat and pour into medium bowl. Add sugar and cocoa; mix until blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add flour and salt; stir until blended.

Spoon batter into bottom half of pan filling each well so it mound over the top of the pan. Place top half on top. Bake for 15-18 minutes, until toothpick inserted comes out almost clean. Coll five minutes in pan, remove cake pops from pan to cool completely. Then decorate it the way you want to.

It taste delicious (like yummy brownies, I think it tastes better without the decorations). I did have a hard time decorating but that was most probably me.

Thanks happybeingamom, they came out great! Delicious too!

One drawback though, since this recipe has no baking soda it doesn't rise all that much so my first batch didn't rise to the top. The instructions should state to fill the holes with a heaping mound. The next batch came out great.

Thanks again! Very Happy
