Please help me!

I'm trying to save 330 KB of data from my computer onto a 16 GB flash drive. So far I've only managed to save part of it and the flash drive is only 10.2 MB full but I keep getting the following message:

The disk in the destination drive is full. Insert a new disk to continue.

I really need to save all the files on the flash drive, what do I do? Anyone know how to get around this?

Are you sure the flash drive was empty (or had enough empty space) to start with? And are you sure that you are correct in the amount of data you are trying to save to it? If you have nothing else on the flash drive that you need, you might want to reformat it and when it is empty, check it's capacity to be sure it is really big enough and then try again.

It was a new flash drive. It's a pain to delete everything I already saved on it but I guess reformatting is my only option.

It's very strange though as it clearly states that it's 10.2MB full, that's no where near 16GB!

agree with the above, but also, try to zip (compact) your files on computer, might make it easier to store

Sometimes when the port or USB connection is weak you get that message
Try several different computers where you know the USB port is good

That does seem strange. Can you use another (new, empty) flashdrive? Just as a sanity check.
