My son is giving me a hard time lately going to sleep. He claims it's too quiet at nite and is afraid we all disappear while he's sleeping for the nite leaving him alone. I tell him I'm home every evening and if I have to go out my big teens babysit so there's nothing to worry about. He just asks why it's so quiet, I say we have the music on and busy around house. I told him when he's asleep he can't hear anything.
I'm wondering if I should get a noise machine. I've never used it before and not sure if this is the right thing. Will it help him?

You could try putting a fan on in his room to see if that helps.

I think the fan might be a good idea.
Or how about playing a Jewish story CD on very low volume for him?
