I know some of my relatives dont eat when going to cemetery on Yahrtzeits.

I am going now because I was unable to go on their Yahrtzeit.

Is there something wrong with eating before?

We officially don't eat before going to the cemetery for my father's yahrzeit, I'm not sure how strict it is. We usually go first thing in the morning just because it's easier for everyone, so it's not usually a big deal. If we go later in the day we do eat. My siblings who are big coffee drinkers always have their coffee first, I don't know if that's considered different than eating, or if we're just not that strict on the no eating thing. I don't eat first thing in the morning anyhow, so I never thought to ask about it.

I called a Posek and he said he personally eats before going to a cemetery, but is aware of some who done eat. Its def not a Halacha I see, maybe a Minhag.
