After using the ladies room at home, where do you wash your hands?
|
I wash my hands quickly in the bathroom and then do so in the kitchen as well. |

But weren't you going to wash the dishes with soap anyway?

Does it matter? I really dont want someone's gross bathroom bacteria hanging around my cutlery.
I think it's the height of rudeness to wash your hands in your host's kitchen after the bathroom. Soap up thoroughly in the bathroom. Then, if you feel you must do a ritual wash elsewhere, you can go to the kitchen....but I would first announce 'no worries, I've already washed, just doing netila'.
In Israel, btw, many older homes have the sink outside a small toilet cubicle. But not in new building, unless geared for the charedi sector.

ITA. I also hate when they do it in a clean kitchen sink.
