I don't have internet (only my phone) or tv. I like having a show I can watch. So I buy box sets of tv shows. When I finish them I sell them. I just finished the good wife. I loved it. I'm looking for something new. I'm going to list what I liked and please let me know what you've enjoyed.

Sit coms
Frasier
The Office
Raising Hope

Shows (caution, I don't mind violence and nudity etc in the context of shows so they are very not safe for children)

Sons of anarchy
Game of thrones
Breaking Bad

Show that are less problematic but still very very good?

I liked many if the BBC dramas like Duchess of Duke Street, Cranford, the adaptations of Jane Austen. The House of Eliot was a show about fashon desogner sisters in Edwardian England. There was a more recent Upstairs Downstairs which wasn't as good as the original but I still enjoyed. Call The Midwife was good especially the first two seasons which were based on the books. I think there were some great Dicken adaptations. The Jewel in the Crown is an old series about the Raj which was wonderful.

There was also BBC series about English women who were code breakers during WW II which was set in the 1950's which was excellent.

You might enjoy the movie House of Mirth which is set inturn of the century New York and based on the wonderful Edith Wharton novel.

US TV Series - West Wing is great. Even better than than The Good Wife which I also like.

I loved Mad Men and mourn it being over.

Actually Jane The Virgin is very funny and sweet. The premise sounds terrible but it is so well done.

Devious Maids is from the creator of Desperate Housewives.

Judging Amy was a good show.

Can't believe I forgot about Homeland and The Americans

Homeland is a fantastic series about a bipolar female high level CIA operative. It's in the fourth season and obviously much of the plot line involves Middle Eastern politics.

The Americans is about two Russian sleeper spies who were planted in the US by the KGB. Their front is posing as a typical American suburban family while carrying out missions. It's based on actual sleeper cells planted in the US during this period. It's less "cerebral" than Homeland which is very very smart and cynical about realpolitik but still superior television.

The Honorable Woman was an excellent mini series. It was orinally produced by the BBC.

Complicated plot but here's the Wiki synopsis

Eight years after taking over the family company from her brother, Anglo-Israeli businesswoman Nessa Stein is made a life peer for her continued commitment to the Middle East peace process. When her new business partner dies in an apparent suicide, she is forced to delay the third phase of an ambitious and long-standing project: connecting the West Bank with optical fibre cables. Various stakeholders manoeuvre for influence in connexion with this venture. The stakes become the highest possible for the Stein family when Kasim, the son of Atika, a close friend of Nessa's, is kidnapped.
