My husband's manager got us a baby gift, and I'm having trouble writing a thank you note. I always follow the basic structure of 1. thank you for the x, 2. here's what we're doing with the x, 3. plan to meet up. So for most people the third sentence would be something like "can't wait for <thebaby> to meet you," "looking forward to seeing you at x", "hope <thebaby> and <yourbaby> will be best friends," whatever. Or "may we share many simchos!" But what should I write for this person? My husband sees her every day; she will probably never meet me or the baby. She is enthusiastically Jewish but not frum.

Your thoughtfulness means so much to all of us.
I can't tell you how nuch I appreciate your thoughtfulness on such a special occasion.

I know baby will enjoy wearing xxx and I'll enjoy watching her wear it.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for the thoughtful and beautiful baby gift . It will surely come to good use and is greatly appreciated. May we share many more simchas (or joyous occasions) together.

Sincerely ,
Mr, mrs and baby pumpernickle.

What everyone wrote is pretty much it. There are only so many ways you can say "Thank you so much for thinking of us" but all you really need is one.
