I recently saw a post for help with cheer leading Shaloch Manot, so I decided to also post.

My shul wants to do a shaloch manot program.
We have to make 200+, and have a budget of $18 for each "basket", complete including all packaging etc.
They want to come up with something SUPER fancy and big, but easy to put together.
I don't know how to do super fancy. I'm more the practical type. Not at all into arts n craft, DIY,etc.
Maybe someone here has an idea.
Oh, and I live in Florida, so I can't go to Moshe's and just pick them up.
To me that would be the most practical solution.
Not too concerned about the food. Concerned about finding a gorgeous packaging solution that would be easy to put together.
Willing to order from China or India, but shipping is too much.
Please help.

BUMP
Last year we ordered the box towers from one of the basket places.
Everyone, including myself was sorely disappointed.
We want something that ppl will say WOW, but don't have a WOW budget.

Papermart.com has the best prices on packaging, and gorgeous styles to choose from. I use them for all my business supplies, jewelry boxes, etc.

Oriental Trading Company has very low priced theme goodies.

My shul gives out m"m in containers that can be used again for something. We've gotten a vase, a salad bowl, serving pieces, candy dishes, a cookie jar, etc. Add some pretty food and wrap up in cellophane and done. I'd much rather spend the money on that rather than on fancy packaging that ends up in the garbage.

This is what I mean by packaging. A pretty reusable fancy bowl, jar, etc.
Where can I find them cheap.

Amazing Savings. If you need a lot, they may be willing to ship you a bulk order.

Or check out Home Goods if you have one locally, I find great stuff there and it's usually pretty cheap. I buy pretty serving dishes and fill them with cookies or candy for hostess gifts.

Thanks for the suggestion, amazing savings is great, but I need 200, and the shipping is too expensive.

Also, the "committee" gave me an impossible budget to work with, they don't want me to spend more than $5 on the container.
Where can I get something that looks WOW! For $5.

I heard that there are Chr*stmas Tree Shops in Florida, but I am not sure where.
Can you get there? They have the most amazing things for $1 or so.

You can usually get a free shipping code for Oriental Trading for orders over $49.

Dollar Tree might have something good for you. You can order in bulk online.

Good luck!

My thought too. Then I realized she's talking about a large scale communal thing.

Alibaba has some nice looking stuff. No idea what shipping costs or how many you need to buy.

I tried some companies, but shipping was too expensive.
They wouldn't even bother to give me a quote.

Any other ideas

What about something like this from discountmugs.com
https://www.discountmugs.com/p.....sses/

Each mishloach manos could have two wine glasses with the name of the shule etched on it, or 'l'chaim' or something purim related... For less than $5, leaving money to spend on packaging
