There are these clear glass globes for candles you can hang from the ceiling. Google "glass hanging balls" or "hanging glass candle holders"
We used them in our succah and they were beautiful!

Be very, very careful. Choose battery-operated or electric lights instead of candles. Open flames at a party are an invitation to disaster.

Thanks so much for the ideas. So we have the craft and most of the decor. Need ideas for food and a "something else" to pull the event together.

Demo?
Flame- working, fire eaters...
Food- Mexican fare, or " hot spicy food."

OK good idea, I think we want to go more in the direction of "light" rather than fire. Keep the ideas coming

How about flambe foods like those puddings they catch on fire and stuff. I wish I can think of an example but foods you bring to the table and they pour something over it, alcohol I guess and touch a match to it and it makes a flame and goes out. That would be exciting!
Maybe too dangerous... Idk..I would do it!

Over a cupcake or multiple on a cake, place sugar cubes dipped in lemon extract. These light easily and are beautiful! But they also barely last, just a few seconds or so. Give it a try. Shut the lights before bringing in the tray with these desserts. But you'll need a few people working on it to get them done in time before they go out.

How about "lite" foods as in healthy? Since you want light as opposed to fire.
