At the end of November I am going to spend 2.5 days in Manhattan with DH.
I would like places to go and great places to go out to eat. Even a fun tour would be great too. Both DH and I grew up in Brooklyn so we know NY but we don't live there anymore so we are going as tourists.

Hey, I'd love to hear good tips as well. I will be in Manhattan next week with DH. We live in Israel and have both been to NY before but I could use some helpful ideas, especially regarding food and stuff to do on Shabbat.

double decker bus tour? https://www.openloop-ny.com/ we're lifetime New Yorkers and did a tour this summer. The kids and adults really liked it and there is usually a groupon deal.
The Met? MoMa has a fabulous Picasso show currently.
food-there are so many places, look on yelp for reviews. My absolute favorite is Mikes Bistro http://www.mikesbistro.com/
shabbos- If you haven't chosen a place to stay yet I"d recommend you find a hotel on the upper west side. there are lots of shuls in the west 70s- 90's Talias Steakhouse has a pre paid shabbos meal plan https://taliassteakhouse.com/shabbat/ the food is decent, not stellar. Shabbos afternoon you can walk to central park and see all the Jewish west side singles around the great lawn. The Jewish Museum on the east side has free admission on shabbos http://thejewishmuseum.org/

museum of natural history is amazing, and the "admission" is only a suggestion, so you can give a lower amount and still get in

What do you like doing? Check if ice skating is open yet in Bryant Park, Central Park, or Rockefeller Center. Escape the Room is a great suggestion. Walk the Brooklyn Bridge if weather is good. Restaurants - Mike's, Reserve Cut, Le Marais, Abigael's. Go see a sporting event or show. Watch sunset from top of Empire State Building or Rockefeller Center. Check TripAdvisor for popular activities.

Check out the High Line Park, a park created on no longer used train tracks.

Ok...dont know if this is something your DH would be interested in....there's a place in Chelsea called: The painting lounge (check their website) you sit in a class and draw a beautiful painting...I just did it as a girls night out at their Brooklyn location...it was so relaxing and therapeutic and I came home with a beautiful piece of art that I did all by myself.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've actually thought of some of them. We will be staying on the UES for Shabbat at an airbnb apartment, I figured that would be easier halachically than shabbat in a hotel.
Would love to hear some more suggestions. Also part of the time I will be traveling with my sister and BIL who have never been to NY before.
