I am looking for some ideas for fun low key quiet crafts/ activities to do with my 6- yr old. He gets home at 3, and as I am not the creative type, I am always at a loss for what we could do to pass the afternoon now that winter is on its way. He iften complains that he is bored and I would like to prevent that by being prepared with some ideas.

Does he enjoy crafts? You could stock a cabinet with supplies so he can help himself. Kids that age don't need to do formal projects as much as experiment with the materials (coloring, cutting, using glue stic, etc).
