Whenever I buy dried apricots (always with a reliable hechsher), I find brown spots on and in many of the fruits. I did a quick google search and found this site about checking apricots http://dinonline.org/Bedikat/apricot-2/
I don't think I would be able to tell the difference between the photo of the spots on the outside that are fine and the photo of the moth larva that is obviously not fine.
Do you guys all check each individual dried apricot, or do you assume they're fine if there is a hechsher on the package??

I open each apricot and take a cursory glance to ensure there is no white powdery matter, then eat and enjoy.
