I like the suggestions from the above poster. Here are some games we have:
Board games: Stratego, Guess Who, Connect Four
Card games: Top Trumps, Monopoly Deal, Uno
Other games: Lego sets, Playmobil sets
Sports equipment: Balls! All types. Lots of them! :-)

Apples to apples is a great game. Rummy cub, Monopoly, Uno, Othello... are classics that are always fun.

I have zoob and it is phenomenal! My kids clean it up and it's totally not a pain. It's great for kids 8+.
