Bumping this up- do u all have ur chulent on high or low?
If I want to put in eggs do I have to put it on high first?

I keep my cholent on low. Do not put a raw egg into a bubbling cholent. You can just place it in the cholent last, turn it on to low, and let it cook over shabbos.

I just add raw eggs when I put it up Friday morning & it cooks till the meal. Put it in a wrap n boil bag for easy fetching!

I mash my regular hard boiled eggs with oil and salt, roll it up in parchment paper as if it's kishka and tuck it into the pot if chulent when it's (the eggs) ready. Shabbos morning I take it out, slice and serve

I throw them in when I throw together the rest of my Cholent. The water is still cold. Cooks as the cholent does. My kids love the eggs.
