I avoid stores this time of year as I can't handles crowds & lines. (even Amazing Savings or Closeout connections could be pretty busy).

So I should have shopped on ebay weeks ago but we had a lot of expenses (BH for good things) & funds were tight.

Now DH says, go, spend a little (but not a lot) for the grandchildren & time is tight too.

I can do something for the girls (I can make hair bows etc) & DH can get seforim for the big boys, but I'd like to get some small stuff for little guys from 2 up to 12.

Matchbox cars? Digital watches? Key chains w flashlight?

If I can get on Amazon prime it will get here in 2 days.

I am sure some of you have found some bargains, so please share! Thanks!

No, actually they're saying Friday so I guess it will have to be the Dollar Store for me!

Clearly this idea was way too stressful for me. I ended up biting my nails (and I only do that once or twice a year. Last time when we were waiting to hear if the boy my DD was dating was ready to get engaged....)

So I think it will be Chanukah gelt. Cash is better than a cheap toy that breaks, right?

Tape measures from the dollar store for the younger ages should be a big hit.

Metal tape measures? We have a kid who needed stitches when one snapped back....
Fabric tape measure? Strangulation hazard. Hate to sound OCD...

Do you have toys 4 u or toys 2 discover where u live? They have great little prizes for $1 -$5. If u go when they open or shortly before closing the lines aren't too bad

Barnes and Nobles clearance section has amazing and beautiful hard cover books for kids around $5.99. I think BOOKS are the BEST present ever. Especially when you write something in the front cover- then it becomes a keepsake!
