Sick of cholent every week. What else can I make in a crockpot using no potatoes?

My plan is to make this and serve it over pasta. http://smittenkitchen.com/blog.....lash/

It's more expensive, because it's just meat with no fillers (like barley, potatoes, kishke, etc. in cholent), but I've made corned beef or pulled BBQ chuck roast in the crockpot.

my friend gave me this idea, which I've never done yet...but it goes in the oven not the crock pot..though cant see why a crockpot could hurt and it's a bit to the expensive side.

A pastrami roast or corned beef....bake covered with water to cover the meat at 350 for 1 hr (you would do this as close to Shabbos as possible and then lower the oven to 180 until ready to eat Shabbos day.

Thanks for the responses but I forgot to mention I only have minced meat so don't know any of these would work. I guess I'm thinking of maybe a rice or pasta dish

I love short grain brown rice stew stew for shabbos day. I know people here have told me they added meatballs with good results.
