Hi--I'm involved in planning an upscale dinner for about 200. Do any of you have experience with this caterer? It will be in South Jersey. I'm very open to other suggestions--just want really good food, elegant service, and as little stress as possible! If you want to pm, that's fine to. Thanks, fellow imamothers!

Actually I've heard Main Event Caterers is going through some major changes right now. I have been hearing mixed things recently.

I recently (6 weeks ago?) went to a simcha with main event as the caterers and the food was over the top phenomenal. It was above and beyond better than most other kosher caterers I've had. That said, I am sure that the hosts paid an arm and a leg for the quality they got - but I personally wouldn't worry about main event. They'll do a great job.

A close relative works for Main Event and they are phenomenal! Unparalleled professionalism, food is amazing, you will not be disappointed. Foremost caterers are also upscale and excellent and I believe on par with Main Event. You should contact both and see what they have to offer.

I used them for my wedding... 5 or so years ago now. They were expensive, but fantastic. The food was phenomenal and presentation was great. Even non frum and non Jewish guests who are typically hypercritical about kosher food thought they did an amazing job.
