Just wondering, the weathers been nice this year... Anyone went?? How was it? different in real life? Or just the same as watching it at home?

I never understood the appeal of watching a ball drop either in person or on TV.
I'm up cooking for shabbos, but otherwise I wouldn't deliberately stay awake until midnight on New Years Eve. Nothing really changes except that I have to be careful with the date the next few times I write checks until I get used to the new year.
