My 2 year old is suddenly sleepin a lot more then usual
it always took me half a night to put her to sleep, suddenly she goes into my bed and falls asleep right away
when she is awake she's alert, not sleepy
Should I worry? Go to the doctor? (He for will laugh from me)

Don't be worried but I would definitely go to Dr to check it out,
When my kids were young and Dr laughed at me for coming I was so grateful that he laughing instead of something serious bh, and just generally whose cared what Dr thinks about you r responsible for ur kids

I've seen with my own children that when they have a growth spurt and sometimes with teething they sleep longer than other times. I feel like they go through stages of sleeping more and less. I wouldn't worry but as someone else mentioned follow your gut. If you feel something is off, check it out otherwise leave it alone.

If the child is alert when awake, not lethargic, not pale, not losing appetite, it's probably nothing. But it doesn't hurt to check it out.
Never be afraid of a doctor's laugh! Many a yiddishe mama got it right because she knew her own child.

I think it's fine but you can always ask your doctor. And your doctor shouldn't laugh that's not very nice... Anyways I have a two year old also and if he sleeps in or sleeps extra just means he needs his sleep and he's tired.... I would t worry. Did your child recently start playgroup?
