Several weeks ago, Family First (Mishpacha) printed a compilation of their staff's favorite kugel recipes. I accidentally discarded the magazine. All I remember off the top of my head:
14 white potatoes
1 white onion
1 cup oil
If you could post the recipe, I would really appreciate it. (If you tried it, please post your comments). Thanks so much.

14 white potatoes
1 white onion
6 eggs
1 cup oil
1 cup water
2 Tbsp salt
dash of black pepper
Grate potatoes and onion and pour in bowl. Add rest of ing. and mix well. Bake in 9X13 pan at 450 F (230 C) for 2 hours (dont freak out and dont do anything different or you wont get the best kugel ever)

6 eggs to 14 potatoes? I always thought Its one egg per potato. How is the texture of this kugel?

Is this riva pomerantz's "hot fresh" kugel? I also wanted to make it this week and misplaced the magazine. If not, can you please post her recipe? Thanks!

yes it is her recipe, it doesnt burn- I actually thought it would come out hard and very crispy on top- it did brown nicely but wasnt hard. dont change anything- really does work!

riva pomerantz"s fresh hot one:
grate:
8 potatoes
1 medium onionput in 9X13 pan and add:
2 heaping Tbspn sugar (don't omit- it really adds taste!)
1 level Tbspn salt
4 eggs
3/4 cup oil
mix very well. let sit for a little bit so the natural juices of the potatoes combines with the rest of liquid. bake at 350 F (180C) or 400F (200C), depending on how rushed you are and what else is baking in the oven, until golden. Enjoy!

I really liked that 14 potato one though I spread it over a few pans.
Anyone know which week it was in? I can't find it now.
