Can anyone recommend a private tutor for seventh-grade math who explains things VERY clearly and in a fun way?
For my bright and frustrated daughter

Female preferred.
If male I would need him to come to my house, which would probably cost more.

Slightly off topic: what is the going rate now?

I don't know. I guess it's dependent somewhat on
qualifications, years of experience, etc.

The going rate for anow experienced math teacher is somewhere around $50-$55 per hour, depending if the tutor comes to you or not. Personally I prefer meeting somewhere outside of the home, such as the meeting room at the public library to minimize distractions.
For your daughter's sake have the tutor get in touch with the teacher so she knows which skills to work on. Groping around in the dark is a waste of money for the first few sessions.
I do this sometimes so if you want you can pm me.
