Good HEavens, some of you make it sound like its a sin to take a baby present from parents.

and yes actually some of you do sound jealous (and a little bitter)

Get a life, stop counting other people's money

Olive, I don't have a lot of money. I'm not on welfare because we earn too much but we have a lot of kids and large tuition bills. I really don't have money to spend on clothes. If you want to spend $100 on a baby outfit, please don't give it to me. Its too painful putting on a $100 outfit when I can't afford socks for my baby. Give me a $100 gap or childrens place giftcard, or buy me several outfits. You can buy cute shabbosdik outfits for $20, no need to spend $100.

If you did give me a $100 outfit I would possibly try and change it for something more suitable, but I'm guessing it comes from a store that sells only $100 outfits.

No, I always buy from stores with a range of items and enclose a gift recipe. I also encourage the ladies to return the item by saying it should be their own taste and not mine. I even offer to go and I tell them the time frame to return it. Guess what? No one ever took me up on the offer.

The outfits are bought for women who want them. They have the $175 stroller liners to grace their bugaboos.

Saw this quote--
"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove . . . but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child." Kathy Davis
The child can be yours (although this is from a teachers' site). The bottom line is - just enjoy what you have and you'll feel rich

No "Jonses", no begging from parents. If your neighbors only like you bc of what you have or how your wig looks, they are not worth it. Period.
