I've been trying to perfect making roasted beet chips.
Problem is my family loves them but it takes too long or doesn't come out right (too soft or burnt).
Can someone give me advice:
- best tool to use to cut them (mandolin, food processor, slicer on grater, slice by hand, etc).
I don't like using my mandolin, I find it cumbersome, but the food processor seems to slice it too thin.
- how to cook, temperature, how long, how to season and oil (lowest calorie option possible) - so they are crispy but don't burn and taste good.
- Make in bulk. I find making even 4 beets takes forever. Is there anyway to speed up the process?
Thanks.
