My shaitel has been a lemon from the day I purchased it, and an expensive one too. It holds for barely two/three wears after being combed/styled professionally and then it goes totally limp. The hairs are soft and the whole shaitel just falls down.
Is it possible to perm a shaitel so that it maintains some body and fullness? If yes, please let me know who in Brooklyn provides this service.

I have permed one of my sheitals because of the reasons you say, it would just fall so fast and look dead!
However a permed look is very curly and a little frizzy. I get endless compliments how natural it looks! I always blow it straight and put some curls but it always bounces back to very curly.
My thought process was, I hate this wig I'm never wearing it, what do I have to lose? It's been a year and still looks great! Just remember the top also gets curly.
