I've always worn a short sheitel. I want to get a long one. Am I too old for that and it will look ridiculous? Do I need to update my very conservative wardrobe? How long should I go?

If you get one a couple of inches(3-5) past your shoulder you should be fine without majorly updating your wardrobe.
More then that would require a trendier clothing....
