I bought a sheitel about 5 months ago and wore it occasionally.
I haven't washed it since I bought it, but never wore it a lot that it needed it.
For the past month it has been my only sheitel, I still don't wear it daily but I'm wearing it a lot more.
In the beginning it never knotted. It started getting very knotty. I wore it today for a long time with a coat and it looks like a bird's nest The entire back is a knot.
I'm not sure what to do. On one hand I can go back to the person who sold it to me, - but I'm a little embarrassed I haven't washed it in so long and don't want it bladmied on that - maybe its dirty so its knotty.
But if I take it to someone else to wash am a waiting too long to complain.
What would you do in this situation?
Can not washing a wig for so long cause it to knot?

Coats make wigs knot badly, especially wool coats!
