Any one have ideas of things to do in or near Lakewood today with girls ages 6-14 not to expensive?

For the older girls call Thompson Park - they may have winter activities still open. You can see if it is open (6 may be to young).

Its not super cheap but for what you get it is a great deal.
go down to Jenkins boardwalk and check out the snow (or what is left) on the beach (I love the beach in the winter) and play the arcades. There is a small aquarium there but not so cheap and it doesn't take long to go through.

I didn't go but heard the skiing was excellent, but snow shoes not so much.
There is a playground that is 'playable' now for younger children.
You should wear snow pants and snow gloves.

You could try ice skating, or an indoor trampoline jumping place.
