It's apparently of Russian origin. Any Hebrew or more traditional alternatives? Thanks!

Thanks! Can't use Tehila or Shalva.
Is Sheva related or just sounds similar?

We had an aunt with this name- we were told it meant forest or trees, so we were thinking of Ilana or yaira. Good luck!

I wonder in which language? Where was your aunt from? Because in Russian and the rest of Slavic languages it means Glory.

Oh, what about Sarah? It would have the same pasuk as Slava.
I once wanted to name after a relative but not use exactly the same name. My rav advised me then to pick a name that starts and ends with the same letters.

How do you spell "Slava" with hebrew letters?

Shula (from Shulamit)
Sima
Slava you say is written with a samech, however if you ask a Rav you may find there is flexibility to make it "sin" re the name posuk concept, as it is not originally Hebrew - it's worth asking...

Thanks. What is the exact translation of Yocheved?

Yocheved means "Ya Kavod"-Hashems Honor/glory. Yocheved was also Moshe Rabenui's mother (and Ahron and Miriam)
More similar ideas:
Atara -means crown
Hodaya or Yehudit- mean -to praise
Hadar-means glory
