Does a/o know if there is such a thing as a first time homebuyers grant in NJ?
I googled a bit but did not find real information.

yes there is. I got it for my house. There are only some cities that it will work for because it has to be a low income low interest city. Find the city you are looking into buying in and go to their website, there should be information there under a housing and development link. Just a heads up- it was a real pain to get it but in the end we got like $10,000 towards our house and closing fees.
